LEAP
Redesign of the LEAP online community to create a more engaging experience among members and help leaders share their vision.
Project Overview
LEAP Africa Alumni website is an online community of change agents who have benefitted from LEAP community programs. I conducted a site evaluation of the website and the activities on the site, and my findings led me to redesign an interface that will improve engagement.
Goal
To develop an online community platform that improves engagement through a system like "receiving points" for members that engage the sites with content and comments. The committee can use this as a means to reward members.

Aspiring executives can use the platform to showcase their activities and post their opinions on issues happening in the nation, gaining followers and eventually turning into votes.

Evaluation
This process assesses the design, content, functionality and overall effectiveness of the website. Moreover, areas for improvement are identified.

Though my search for sample UI designs didn’t utterly meet my expectations for LEAP Africa, I took another turn of instead of redesigning the whole site, I sought for features that were not expressive and appealing in the current website.

Reflection and Next Steps
The deliberation of whether or not a “tour” feature should be added to the high-fidelity design is yet to be concluded. My intention for the “tour” is to show in video the impact of LEAP Alumni in the community or, better still a video clip on how to fully engage the site for members and prospective members.
